 Types of Lasers

There are many types of lasers, each with specific applications and wavelengths.

 

The most common types used in medical and cosmetic treatments include:

  • Ablative Lasers:
These lasers remove the outer layers of skin to promote healing and rejuvenation. Common ablative lasers include carbon dioxide (CO2) and erbium lasers.
  • Non-Ablative Lasers:
These lasers work beneath the skin’s surface without removing the outer layers, promoting collagen production and tissue regeneration. Common non-ablative lasers include Nd:YAG and diode lasers.
  • Fractional Lasers:
